"Let's Learn From professionals: Musical Instrument Clinic"

First Clinic held on Sept. 26, 2013 at Katori Jr. High School

The Clinic was established by Citizen's Activities and Culture Promotion Division of Chiba Prefecture for the purpose of raising awareness and understanding of traditional Japanese music among elementary and junior high school students. For that, professional musicians are sent to schools for performances.

By the request from Citzen's Activities and Culture Promotion Division of Chiba Prefecture, Kitanodai Gagaku Ensemble will be holding the clinic at seven elementary and junior high schools this year.

The first clinic was held at Katori Jr. High School in Katori City, where a famous Katori Shrine is located. The school has a curriculum to teach gagaku as part of comprehensive study. Students taking gagaku lessons at the school performed with the Ensemble.
