April 26:Japan Festival Boston

On April 26, 2015, this year’s Japan Festival Boston was held at the Boston Common, the oldest city park in the United States. The organizers of the event set the goal of creating a celebration that will endure and grow in Boston each year for the next centuries to come.
Japanese Resources Exchange (JREX), Consulate-General of Japan in Boston, Japan Society of Boston, and Japanese Association of Greater Boston were the organizers of the event. In addition, Japan Airlines, Nissan North America, Inc. The Boston Red sox and other corporations as well as individuals made monetary contributions for this festival, which was visited by over 30,000 people this year.
Kitanodai Gagaku Ensemble performed the Bugaku dance Karyobin on an outdoor stage in front of about one thousand people. “It was a superb performance which added to the festival and gave us a good opportunity to glance at Japanese culture”, a spectator said.
Japan Festival Boston was granted the permission by the City of Boston to use the Boston Common as a venue for the event in April annually.
